Capture the truth...
These days, everyone can take pictures. No expensive equipment required. You've got a cellphone! If you want to edit the pictures, hundreds of apps are available, and are so easy to use to achieve desired results. So you may think that photography is a dying art. But, wait a second; Who takes pictures for you at your wedding? Who sits in the woods for hours to capture raw content of nature in the realest sense? Who is crazy enough to go to dangerous areas and take epic photos of the truth?
In today's society, we won't believe it without evidence! My mission is to take pictures of the "Evidence" that the world deserves to see and understand. To feel. I believe there is a reason, and a story behind every moment. Nature doesn't speak, but it shows. I want to express what it might be saying in the form of photography that captures how I feel in every moment! Welcome! I am Kozue Maye. Come with me on a journey, as I vow to capture the truth! |

"This is awesome, it blows my mind that places like this actually exist. Every time I see photos from here it makes me want to visit more and more. I like the back story too, it's a lovely memory for you and your mom. The colours are amazing, and that early morning light os working a treat to light it all up. Well done, a really nice shot." I live in the desert. About 50 miles East of Death Valley to be more specific. Life here is quite unique. It's dry and hot. I can feel the effects of global warming first hand! As miserable as it may sound to you- it's quite beautiful. There isn't any "beach front property" yet, but the desert has its own beauty!
My husband and I always take adventures. Especially fishing excursions! Where do we go fishing in the desert? Well, we are conveniently located in the center of the South Western United States. We have Lake Mead, the Eastern Sierras, the Colorado River, Utah's lakes and streams, as well as California's lakes and beaches all about 4 to 7 hours away... I love to take pictures while he is fishing! We both love and respect mother earth. We have a small farm, and I love gardening! My husband runs an environmentally conscious bait shop, Richard Wiggler's Bait Co. that fuels our crop beds, and maintains a vital eco system on our farm. This year, we loved our little piece of nature enough to have our homestead deemed a "Certified Wildlife Habitat" by the National Wildlife Federation. Here, we see all kinds of birds including hawks and owls, small critters like rabbits, chipmunks, and so on. I get to have bird watching sessions at my desk, watching them play in our small pond! Nature is all around us, and we have to take time to appreciate the power and beauty in the stillness. Visit my gallery and enjoy the photos and the stories behind them. We value the moments, and capture the truth! |
